Hip hip hooray, our Loveday Golden Hour Gin has won Gold Outstanding!

The International Wine and Spirits Competition is like the Olympics of the alcohol world…The restaurant Michelin Guide of distilleries… The World Cup of booze, if you will. With over 4,000 spirits, including 1,000-ish gins from all over the world in competition, judged by experts from over 30 countries, the ‘Outstanding’ is saved for 98% and above scores. So it’s rather an achievement that Golden Hour earned one if we may say so!

An outstanding spirit with a naturally exceptional balance, complexity and power. An example that immediately sets itself apart from others in the category. 98/100

Big, bold juniper nose, with a hint of spice. Beautiful mouthfeel with a good balance between grapefruit citrus and pine. A nice development of flavour with a long finish. A truly impressive example.

In short, Daisy is a distilling genius. Still can’t do spreadsheets though. (We still need her head to get through the distillery door)

Expect little round gold ‘IWSC’ stickers on our bottles, and us to be ridiculously, incessantly excited about this news for a little while yet.
