We believe that making great, modern spirits goes hand in hand with responsible choices

That's why, as we grow - distilling, creating, packaging and posting along the way - we are embracing a sustainable approach wherever we can that leaves a lighter environmental footprint in our wake. We are continually looking for ways to make our production and distribution practices greener, and thoroughly enjoy this being the lens through which we’ve grown this company since 2020. Here’s where we are at the moment, with plenty to follow!

  • Our labels are plastic-free and are printed with water-based inks
  • We use FSC - certified wood and natural cork stoppers
  • Our bottles are sealed with home-compostable tamper-proof seals made of seaweed
  • Our rums are Soil-Association certified organic, one of only two distilleries in the UK to achieve this, will be transitioning our gin to organic in 2024
  • We designed and moved to using a bottle for our gins that is 28% lighter to the one we started with. Less raw materials, and less emissions transporting them to us and on to you
  • We use 100% recyclable packaging including innovative, and just darn beautiful Flexi-hex postal packaging and recycled cardboard mailer boxes
  • Deliveries within the South West are carried out by Hoffman Haulage- a brilliant carbon neutral courier company - in their electric vans
  • We supply our organic rums and gins to on-trade in re-usable 5l cans wherever we can.
  • We run an ever-popular refill scheme, both for wholesale stockists, and for single bottles brought back to us by customers
  • What’s left after distilling our organic molasses wash into rum (‘dunder’), is fed to some very happy, regeneratively farmed local pigs
  • Similarly, what’s left after distilling our gins goes to a local company who turn it into compost
  • We aim to work with good people, and this goes for suppliers too. We thoroughly check that anyone we decide to work with complies with all the minimum legal requirements for social and environmental responsibilities, and will favour, or pick companies who go above and beyond this.
