We set Loveday up to make organic rum and although of course we were more than happy to be waylaid with our gin, I can’t tell you how nice it feels to not only have this unique spiced rum ready, in bottles, being enjoyed, but for it to gain this kind of international thumbs up!When one of our gins won a gold award from the same body a couple of years ago, we wrote that the best way to describe the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) is as the Oscars of the booze world or the Michelin list of restaurants. With a couple more years or trading, feedback and conversations with you guys, and with our wholesale trade partners under our belt, we’re more certain than ever of this explanation! Here’s what the judges said:“Enticing aromas of allspice, nutmeg, and citrus peel lead to a palate bursting with honey, coffee, raspberries, lychee, and caramel. Complex and superbly harmonious, with a persistent finish offering a delightful interplay of bitter and sweetly spiced notes.”
